Auraria Campus posts community survey in search for ACPD Chief of Police
Posted March 7th, 2023
Dear Auraria Campus Community,
We are beginning the search for a new Chief of Police by collaborating in an inclusive process to solicit input from our valuable institutional partners and engage our community in conversations about what leadership qualities they deem essential in Auraria’s next Chief of Police. It is important to us that we hear from the Auraria Campus community about the vital qualities, characteristics, or competencies that the new police chief should embody in order to keep students, faculty, and staff safe.
Please take a few minutes to complete this survey to help us find the best fit for our diverse, urban, vibrant campus. We will use this information to help define the job description.
We are also conducting several roundtable discussions and townhalls on campus to understand the needs of the campus. We will also incorporate this feedback as we develop the job description. We are inviting the campus community to participate in our townhalls on:
- Monday, March 13, 2023, from 10-11 a.m. at Tivoli 320
- Monday, March 13, 2023, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at Tivoli 320
- Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 10-11 a.m. via Zoom (https://us06web.zoom.us/j/87540579557?from=addon)
- Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 3:30-4:40 p.m. at Tivoli 320
If you have any questions about our search, don’t hesitate to contact Macy Conant (macy.conant@ahec.edu).
Thank you for your collaboration and input,
Colleen Walker & the Auraria Campus Police Department
