Student Graphic Designer
Job Summary
The Graphic Designer (part-time) provides design and creative services to support marketing and communications efforts across all Auraria Campus departments. This role is responsible for producing print and digital visual materials, ensuring brand consistency, and assisting with production coordination to deliver high-quality content that supports the agency’s mission.
Duties
Design Production (50%)
Create engaging graphic design materials including brochures, posters, signage, business cards, icons, web banners, and other print/digital collateral.
Brand Support (20%)
Ensure all visual materials align with brand standards and messaging guidelines.
Asset Development (15%)
Develop or acquire original visual assets such as logos, illustrations, and typography for use across multiple channels.
Print Coordination (15%)
Prepare files for pre-press and coordinate with external vendors for pricing, file specs, and final print production.
Minimum Requirements
- Current enrollment as a student in a related field (e.g., graphic design, visual communication, digital media, illustration)
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Ability to follow brand standards and visual guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with print production and file preparation for vendors
- Familiarity with pre-press standards and digital file formats
- Experience working in a professional or academic communications environment
- Knowledge of web graphic formats and social media visual trends
