Fall Semester Welcome Message & Updates
Welcome Back to Campus – Fall Semester 2025
Dear Auraria Campus Students, Faculty, and Staff,
Welcome to the Fall Semester! We’re excited to see our campus come alive again with energy, learning, and connection.
While you were away over the summer, the Auraria Campus team has been hard at work making significant upgrades to create a more comfortable, efficient, and sustainable environment for everyone. Some of the improvements include:
- Cherry Creek – North & South Wings: New windows, HVAC systems, lighting, and temperature controls.
- Arts Building: Upgraded heating controls.
- 7th Street Classroom: Fully upgraded HVAC temperature controls.
- Central Classroom: Replaced all non-LED lighting with LEDs and installed new ceiling tiles.
- Old (West) Science Building: Replaced ventilation components and re-commissioned Air Handling Units for HVAC systems.
- PE / Events Center: Installed new HVAC systems for the gym, weight room, offices, classrooms, basement, and physical therapy area.
- Chilled Water Lines: Added new connections between the North Chiller Plant and the PE / Events Center Building.
- Campus-Wide Irrigation: Replaced over 50 irrigation control valves.
We’re proud of these upgrades, but with progress comes a little patience. Several construction projects are still in progress, so you may notice detours, equipment, and crews working in various areas. We appreciate your understanding as we wrap up these improvements to make your campus experience even better. For detailed information on all Auraria Campus projects, be sure to visit the Building Auraria: Progress in Motion website.
Here’s to a productive, inspiring, and comfortable semester ahead. Welcome back to Auraria!
