Transplant Games, June 20-21 – Campus Impacts
The Transplant Games of America will be hosting their annual event in Denver from June 18 – 23. As part of the games, the Auraria Campus will be hosting their 5K walk/run on Saturday, June 20 and their cycling races on Sunday, June 21.
Saturday, June 20
The 5K walk/run will begin at 7:30 a.m. with the race concluding around 9:30 a.m. There will be pre-race activities on the Tivoli Quad starting around 6:30 a.m. and postrace activities scheduled until about noon.
During the race, a majority of campus roads and sidewalks will be closed off for the safety of the participants. All roads/sidewalks in blue on the map below will be closed from 7:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m.

It is highly recommended to avoid campus during the race time, but parking will remain open in the Aspen and Walnut Lots off of Walnut Street on the west side of campus, and Oak and Nutmeg Lots off of 11th Street on the east side of campus.
Sunday, June 21
The cycling race will begin first with their 20K route at 7 a.m. followed by the 5K route, and then down to the 1K route. Total duration of race time is estimated to last between 7 a.m.-9 a.m.
During the race, numerous roads and sidewalks will be closed off for the safety of the participants. As the races scale down, ACPD and the Transplant Games team will actively work to open up campus areas no longer affected by the course route. All roads/sidewalks in blue on the maps below will be closed until the conclusion of the race:

As a reminder, vehicles CANNOT be left overnight in any parking lots or garages on campus. If there is an emergency and vehicles are left overnight into the next day, there will be limited access to campus parking lots and garages on both days during race times.
