PE/Events Building – Project B
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Replacing Air Handling Units and the HVAC system in the PE/Events Building. The HVAC system is the original system that was installed in 1976. The new system will be more energy efficient which helps the campus meet the Auraria Campus Climate Action Plan goals. Occupants will experience a more comfortable environment in the building with more consistent airflow, heating, and cooling.
Project Impacts & Updates
This project is occurring in phases that require closing parts of the building during construction.
March 31 – Aug. 8 2025: There will be limited entry into the PE building: Entry to the Gym, Fitness Center and 2nd floor classrooms will be at the West side near the Concessions area. Access to the weight room 111B and Multi-purpose Room, 111G, use the new door on the south side near the pool and Emmanual Gallery.
