Parking Permits

Holly Parking Lot

Redwood Permit Area (Formerly 7th Street Garage Permit Area)

Starting in Spring Semester 2026, the Permit Area on first and second floor in the 7th Street Garage will undergo changes and be renamed the Redwood Permit Area.

This change reflects the expanded permit footprint within the garage and helps clearly distinguish permit parking from Gold Passport and daily rate parking areas.

What this means for current permit holders:
  • No action is required
  • Payroll deduction permits will automatically update to the Redwood Permit Area
  • Updated permit names will appear beginning with Summer Semester permit sales on May 5, 2026
  • Garage improvements are also underway, including new signage, pillar painting, permanent barriers, and improved traffic flow.

Buy a Permit

Parking permits provide prepaid access to designated campus parking areas with in-and-out privileges and reduced daily costs compared to daily rate parking.

Purchasing a permit allows the convenience of parking in guaranteed parking spaces located in key areas of campus, without making payment at a pay station or mobile pay application, as parking rates have been pre-paid. Permits purchased are fully digital and attached to the vehicle license plate number, there is no need to come into the office to pick them up if purchased online.

Auraria Campus permits only allow for parking in their specified locations; 7th Street Garage, Juniper, and Maple Permits are NOT valid in daily rate spaces in surface lots or garages or ParkMobile metered spaces (5-digit zones).
