Updates to the Campus Accessibility Shuttle
Parking and Transportation Services is pleased to share important updates to the Campus Accessibility Shuttle (CAS) program.
Expanded Access
As of January 1, 2026, the CAS is now available to all Auraria Campus affiliates, including students, staff, and faculty. The service is no longer limited to individuals with disabilities.
No Registration Required
Accessibility stickers and prior registration are no longer required. Riders only need to present a valid campus ID when boarding.
How the Service Works
The CAS operates as a call-to-ride service:
- Riders must be at a designated shuttle stop (see Campus Accessibility Map)
- Call the dispatch line at 303-556-2001 to request a pickup
- A driver will transport riders between designated stops only
Please note that pick-up and drop-off are limited to designated shuttle stops.
Hours of Operation:
Monday through Friday
7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Accessibility Features
The CAS includes vehicles equipped to support mobility needs, including wheelchairs, walkers, and crutches. A lift-equipped vehicle is available to assist with boarding and exiting. Service animals are also permitted when accompanied by their owner.
After-Hours Support (Night Rider Services)
When the CAS is not in operation, campus affiliates may request a safety escort through the Auraria Campus Police Department (ACPD) by calling 303-556-5000.
Please be aware that ACPD escorts do not service the following University of Colorado Denver locations:
- Lawrence Street Center
- Business School Building
- CU Denver Building
We encourage you to share this information with your teams and help us spread awareness of this expanded service.
If you have any questions, please contact Parking and Transportation Services at 303-556-2001 or at PTCDispatch@ahec.edu
Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting a safe and accessible campus.
