Cherry Creek – Project B

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Replacing Air Handling Units and the HVAC system in Cherry Creek. The HVAC system is the original system that was installed in 1976. The new system will be more energy efficient which helps the campus meet the Auraria Campus Climate Action Plan goals. Occupants will experience a more comfortable environment in the building with more consistent airflow, heating, and cooling. 

Project Impacts & Updates

This project is occurring in phases that require closing parts of the building during construction.  

Spring Semester 2025 – the north wing of the building is closed except for access to the elevator. Some classes are being held in alternate locations. 

Summer 2025 – the south wing of the building will be closed on all floors.  

Spring 2026 – the east wing of the building will be closed on all floors.
