Early Learning Center & Workforce Housing

ABOUT THE PROJECT

This newly constructed building will be a 12-story apartment building with both affordable and market rate apartments. This offers a great option for campus community members to live close to where they work and go to school. The building will also include a new state of the art location for Auraria Campus’ Early Learning Center.

This project will help address a shortage of affordable, attainable (workforce) housing in the immediate vicinity of the campus. In addition, the AELC will expand by approximately 30%, helping address the current waitlist. The developer of the project is paying campus a ground lease which provides additional revenue to help fund campus operations.

Project Impacts & Updates

The construction team is working on a plan to limit impacts to the campus community. There will be noise, it is unavoidable, but they are working to time the loudest work during appropriate times.
