CAMPUS Wide Access Control & Security Upgrade
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Updating campus access and security systems to one consolidated platform that is easier to maintain and monitor. This project includes acquiring a new access control software system, modernizing wiring to support new system, adding card readers on all classrooms and labs, updating panic buttons to new consolidated platform, and updating intrusion systems on high security spaces to new consolidated platform.
This project will help Auraria Campus to modernize our safety systems allowing real time updates to approved campus card holders, easier updating of access for staff and faculty, and will update our outdated panic button system to help ensure campus safety.
Project Impacts & Updates
This project is occurring in phases and will not require students, faculty and staff to get new Campus ID Badges. Most people will not notice the change.
Most of the construction will be behind the walls and in the ceilings.
