Accessible Parking

Auraria Campus offers a variety of parking options for persons with disabilities; this includes spaces in nearly all garages, lots, and metered parking areas. Accessibility spaces are marked and reserved for vehicles that display a valid state-issued accessibility hangtag or license plate. Hangtags must be hung from the rear-view mirror and cannot be expired. Disabled Veteran license plates are not valid accessibility license plates unless the plate specifically displays the accessibility symbol.

All accessible parking on Auraria Campus requires payment, this includes the digital ParkMobile metered spaces allocated to those with disabilities. See requirements below:

  • Auraria Campus Accessibility Permit Spaces: An active Auraria Campus Accessibility Permit is required alongside a valid state-issued accessibility hangtag or license plate
  • Daily-Fee Lots and Garages Accessibility Spaces: Payment of the daily rate must be paid as well as the vehicle must display a valid state-issued accessibility hangtag or license plate
  • ParkMobile Accessibility Metered Spaces: Payment of the metered rate must be paid as well as the vehicle must display a valid state-issued accessibility hangtag or license plate
  • Daily-Fee Lot and Garage/ParkMobile Metered Spaces: If persons with disabilities park within a daily fee rate or metered space on campus not allocated as an accessibility space, payment is required at all times

State-issued accessibility placards and license plates are not exempt from payment at Auraria Campus parking meters.
