2025 Timely Warning Archive

In compliance with the “Timely Notice” provisions of the Federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the Auraria Higher Education Center issued the following notices of crimes that occurred on the Auraria Campus. A “timely warning” is issued to the campus community via email when incidents of criminal activity as defined by the Clery Act occur on campus or within the immediate vicinity of campus, and when the criminal activity represents an ongoing threat to campus.

Timely Warning #1-2025

TYPE OF CRIME: AGGRAVATED ROBBERY: 5^TH ST GARAGE, 2^ND FLOOR

REPORTED OFFENSE: Auraria Campus Police and Denver Police are investigating an armed robbery at gunpoint that occurred at approximately 2303 pm on Thursday February 27, 2025. An unknown suspect trespassed inside the victim’s vehicle, stole a purse and miscellaneous, and threatened the victims with unknown weapon, believed to be gun, refused to leave the area. Once confronted by the victims, the suspect ran throwing a black object from his hand into a trash can, later found to be pliers. The suspect fled on foot, last seen in the area of 13^th St / Shoshone St.

SUSPECT: The suspect is described as Hispanic male 35 yrs old, 5’6”, medium build, black face mask with black jacket and black pants.
