Request for Space in Tivoli

The Tivoli Student Union houses many different student organizations, campus departments, services for students, and vendors providing services for the campus community. While each institution receives a designated amount of space to use for free, the majority of clubs, student services and departments lease space at a discounted rate.

It is likely that the Tivoli will get a much-needed renovation in the next three years. During this time, before the renovation, a pilot process for reviewing space requests has been established called the Interim Tivoli Space Assignment Committee (ITSAC). The Interim Tivoli Space Assignment Committee is made up of representatives from each of the three institutions of higher education and Auraria Campus. Each committee representative seeks input and feedback from their staff, faculty, and students as they rate the applicants.

If there are any offices or rooms available in the Tivoli, requests will be accepted and reviewed by this committee prior to each semester on the following schedule:

SemesterRequest Form DueDecision Made
Fall SemesterJune 1July 1
Spring SemesterNovember 1December 1
SummerApril 1May 1

The committee uses a rubric to score the applications – details about that rubric can be found in the Tivoli Space Request Form above. Space in the Tivoli is prioritized for student serving organizations who provide service to a wide breadth of students and require a physical space to operate. Organizations that contribute to cross-campus partnerships and community building will be given extra consideration in the space request process.
