Upcoming Campus Traffic and Parking Impacts
Due to several construction projects and events taking place on campus over the next few months, there will be traffic and parking impacts to the Auraria Campus. Full details are below.
Parking, Sidewalks, & Streets
Parking
- The 11th Street Meters between Walnut & Larimer along the Tivoli Quad will be offline from Nov. 3 – Jan. 9.
- The Walnut Meters between 10th & 11th will be offline from Nov. 10 – Dec. 29
- Upcoming Parking Lot Closures – Maple & Nutmeg Closed Dec. 12-13 for commencements- MORE INFO HERE
Sidewalk & Street Closures
- The sidewalk between 11th & Larimer will be closed for full load-in AND load-out for events on the Quad. The sidewalk will be offline all day Nov. 3 – 10 as well as Jan. 2 – 9.
- Walnut Street between 10th & 11th will be fully blocked to outside traffic from Nov. 10 – Dec. 29.
- Walnut Street between 11th and the east entrance of the Tivoli Garage will be closed Monday, November 10 – Sunday, January 3 for the events on the Quad.

Crossing
Traffic Alert: 11th Street Lane Closures (Nov. 18 – Dec. 6)
Date: November 18 – December 6, 2025
Time: Daily, 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Location: South and north left-turn lanes on 11th Street between Auraria Parkway and Walnut Street
As part of ongoing utility work on campus, crews will be completing a utility tie-in near the intersection of Auraria Parkway and 11th Street. This work requires access to the sewer connection point located in the middle of the roadway.
What to Expect:
- Temporary closure of the south and north left-turn lanes on 11th Street.
- Lane closure safety measures will be in place, including barriers, signage, and flaggers to assist with equipment entry and exit.
- All lanes will be road-plated and reopened by 6:00 p.m. each day.
- Associated noise is expected during roadway demolition. Noise will not occur during the utility installation portion of the work.
Please allow extra time when traveling through the area and follow all posted signs and flagger instructions to ensure safety.
RTD 11th and Auraria Bus Stop Closure
Due to the ongoing construction taking place in the lot east of the Tivoli Garage, the RTD bus stop located at 11th Street and Auraria Parkway has been moved to 9th and Auraria until at least the end August of 2026 – MORE INFO HERE
Holidays at Auraria
We are thrilled to be able to host two Denver holiday institutions in Christkindlmarket and Mile High Tree, right in the heart of campus on the Tivoli Quad, Nov. 21-Dec. 31! More details can be found HERE.
