Campus Construction, Traffic, and Parking Impacts
Due to several construction projects and events taking place on campus over the next few months, there will be traffic and parking impacts to the Auraria Campus. Full details are below.
Partial Building Closures
- Starting January 15, 2026, and until the completion of construction on the MSU Denver Gina and Frank Day Health Institute Tower (estimated summer of 2027), there will be impacts to the West Classroom and the surrounding construction areas. Detailed impacts can be found HERE.
Parking, Sidewalks, & Streets
Parking
- 13 parking spaces in the Almond Lot will be closed starting in the morning, Friday, Feb. 27.

- The Boulder Creek Lot will be closed indefinitely starting Jan 1, 2026, due to the ongoing Boulder Creek building renovation.
- Parts of the Maple Lot outside of the Cherry Creek building East side will be offline from Jan. 21 – Feb. 23 for window installation. The project will be in phases, and affect three parking spaces at a time. A map of the specific dates and spaces is below:

Sidewalk & Street Closures
- None to report at this time
Campus Accessibility Shuttle Stops
- The Boulder Creek and 9th Street Station shuttle stops have been closed due to partial fencing. These closures will remain in place through full fencing for the duration of the Boulder Creek project.
- Alternate stop: Early Learning Center
- The Central Classroom shuttle stop will be closed due to safety concerns
- Alternate stop: Cherry Creek building
RTD 11th and Auraria Bus Stop Closure
Due to the ongoing construction taking place in the lot east of the Tivoli Garage, the RTD bus stop located at 11th Street and Auraria Parkway has been moved to 9th and Auraria until at least the end August of 2026 – MORE INFO HERE
