Timely Warnings
In compliance with the “Timely Notice” provisions of the Federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the Auraria Higher Education Center issued the following notices of crimes that occurred on the Auraria Campus. A “timely warning” is issued to the campus community via email when incidents of criminal activity as defined by the Clery Act occur on campus or within the immediate vicinity of campus, and when the criminal activity represents an ongoing threat to campus.

12-25-2022-Timely Warning: Aggravated Assault
Timely Warning #5-2022
REPORTED OFFENSE
Auraria Campus Police are investigating an Aggravated Assault that occurred at approximately 1:23 PM on Monday, December 05, 2022. Three unidentified male’s gained unlawful entry into a private residence at Lynx Crossing by jumping the gate to gain entry. After exiting the building the three suspects were last seen in Lot W heading northbound.

SUSPECT
The unidentified suspects are described as two white or Hispanic males, one black male, in their late teens early twenties, thin build, average height, wearing the below clothing.

11-26-2022-Timely Warning: Burglary
Timely Warning #4-2022
REPORTED OFFENSE
Auraria Campus Police are investigating a Burglary that occurred at approximately 4:23 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2022. An unidentified male gained unlawful entry into a private office suite on the third floor of the Tivoli Student Union. This person stole several items before leaving the area. After exiting the Tivoli Student Union the suspect traveled south on 9th Street.

SUSPECT
The unidentified suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, unknown age, thin build, average height, wearing a camouflage jacket, grey pants and carrying kitchen style knife.

11-21-2022-Timely Warning: Arson
Timely Warning #3-2022
REPORTED OFFENSE
Auraria Campus Police are investigating an Arson that occurred at approximately 4:00 pm on Monday, November 21, 2022. There was a fire started that resulted in damage to a storage container at that location. The suspect left the scene eastbound on Rio Court.

5th Street and Old Colfax Avenue (Storage Containers)
SUSPECT
The unidentified suspect is described as a white male, unknown age, thin build, average height, wearing a black jacket, black pants, and carrying a white bag.

02-03-2022-Timely Warning: Strong Arm Robbery
Timely Warning #2-2022
REPORTED OFFENSE
Auraria Campus Police are investigating a strong-arm robbery that occurred at approximately 2:42 p.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 1190 Auraria Parkway, Denver, Colorado.
A dispute regarding fees for a food delivery occurred outside the Hospitality Learning Center near the Springhill Suites Hotel. An Uber Eats driver threw coffee in the face of a hotel guest and stole the man’s cell phone. The Uber Eats driver initially fled on foot before returning to a blue or black Jeep SUV with a chrome front grill parked near 12th & Larimer. The man drove off campus after turning south on Speer Blvd. from Larimer St.

SUSPECT
The suspect is described as a white male, medium build, average height, mid-twenties in age, having face tattoos, wearing a dark-colored puffy coat, possibly grey sweatpants, and possibly Croc styled shoes. (The man’s hat was left at the scene of the robbery)

Timely Warning: #1-2022
02-02-2022 Arson, Arts Building Exterior
LOCATION
Arts Building Exterior, 1150 10th St., Denver, CO

REPORTED OFFENSE
Auraria Campus Police are investigating an arson that occurred at approximately 3:10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.
A man gathered trash from recycling bins and items from a maintenance vehicle parked under the breezeway between the Arts Bldg. and the West Classroom and lit them on fire along the wall and doors of the Arts Building vestibule. The fire left scorch marks on the building and concrete. The man was last seen near the Colfax at Auraria Light Rail Stop at about 6:28 a.m.
SUSPECT
The suspect is described as a male, medium build, average height, wearing a white or urban camouflage hoodie sweatshirt and blue pants.
